Who we are

What we collect

• Details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, vehicle registration and anything you write in our forms, calls, WhatsApp messages or emails.
• Vehicle details: we use your registration to look up public vehicle and MOT information from the DVLA and DVSA so we can quote accurately.
• Website usage: pages visited, time on page, device and browser type, approximate location (town level), and how you arrived at our site.
• Advert clicks: if you arrive from a Google ad, we record the ad click reference, your IP address, basic device details (screen size, language, time zone) and how you used the page. We use this to spot fake or automated clicks and claim refunds from Google for invalid clicks.

How we use it and why

• To reply to enquiries, quote, book and carry out work on your vehicle. We need this to take steps you have asked for before and under a contract.
• To keep records of work done and meet our legal and tax obligations.
• To measure which adverts lead to enquiries and to detect click fraud. This is in our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business.
• Analytics and advertising cookies only with your consent (see Cookies).

We never sell your data.

Who we share it with

Only with trusted providers who help us run the business, under contract:

• Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads) for website and advert measurement
• our website hosting, email delivery and form-handling providers
• Lilburne AI, who build and run our website and automation systems
• the DVLA and DVSA for vehicle lookups
• Setmore, if you book through our online booking link
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you message us there

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on approved safeguards such as UK adequacy decisions or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

Cookies

We use:

• Essential storage: remembers your cookie choice for 12 months.
• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics: _ga, _ga_*): show us how people use our site. Set only if you click Accept.
• Advertising cookies (Google Ads: _gcl_au, _gcl_aw): tell us which ads led to enquiries. Set only if you click Accept.

Our click fraud check doesn't set cookies.

You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don't become work: up to 2 years.
• Customer and job records: 6 years, for tax and warranty purposes.
• Advert click and fraud-check records: up to 14 months.
• Website analytics: 14 months in Google Analytics.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for a copy to move elsewhere, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the details above. We'll reply within one month.
